Logistics Intern – Sandvik
Sandvik Mining & Construction Tanzania Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to join our team in Mwanza. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain operations within a world-class organization.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels and stock movements
- Support procurement activities, including purchase requisitions and supplier follow-ups
- Assist in tracking orders, deliveries, and logistics activities
- Support warehouse operations, including receiving, issuing, and stock reconciliation
- Maintain supply chain records, reports, and documentation
- Assist with data analysis and preparation of supply chain performance reports
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely availability of materials and parts
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally
