Job Title: Credit Branch Manager
Job Description
- To manage and review daily administration of loan documents to ensure full
- compliance with Policies and Procedures.
- To verify proper valuation of collaterals before disbursements of Loan and
- monitoring of all collaterals.
- To supervise all credit /loan officers at the branch, to check their daily activities
- and to recommend weekly payments for daily rooting.
- To manage branch loan portfolio and ensure the performance of the branch is at
- the best level and has met targets.
- Manages branch on behalf of CEO all operations, loan applications and
- recommend process and ensures prompt delivery and collection of loans.
- Track assigned loan portfolio reports/information to the CEO.
- To Follow procedures and make follow-ups of all arrears.
- To make sure that all branch members have compulsory shares and makecompulsory savings.
- Manage branch staff on behalf of the CEO and provide reports to the CEO in casethere is any challenge.
- Identify and recommend areas for credit activities based on the business plan tothe Credit Officers.
- Analyze loan applications and make recommendations to the ManagementCommittee regarding the worthiness of the member.
- Review and revisit loans for the week for the amount exceeding Five millionShillings and pick a sample of loans below five million and visit them as well.
- Review daily, weekly and monthly collection updates to detect delinquenciespromptly.
- Assist CEO in planning program goals and activities about credit operations.
- Timely follow-up to the borrowers and collects collaterals due to failure of
- repayments together with the Credit Officers or task force.
- Review Daily Credit System, monitoring and management reports, identifynon-performing accounts irregularities proactively follow up to ensure corrective
action is taken in line with Credit Policy.
- Ensure all collaterals collected from the defaults after the time given to theborrower are sold.
- Maintain records of all Loan applications.
- Follow up with clients to manage debt settlements and loan renewals.
- Ensure all lending procedures comply with regulations.
- Develop, review, and update the Credit Policy.
- Perform any specific task and duty assigned by the CEO.
- Setting targets for loan disbursement and promotion of loan products
- Maintain of quality of the loan portfolio and ensure good assessment of loanapplicants.
- Preparations of your branch staff weekly, monthly, quarterly, sem annually andannual performance reports and submit to the CEO at right time.
- To undertake any other work as instructed by the employer and ensure that theemployer abides by the standards and regulations of the cooperative societies in
Tanzania.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, orrelated field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in credit management in a financial institution,with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Excellent credit analysis, reporting, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in loan portfolio management and credit risk assessment.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
