Finally, the new season of the England Premier League (EPL) is set to kick off this weekend after a break of about two months.

The EPL 2022/23 season will officially start on Friday August 5, 2022 and continue for ten months until May 28, 2023.


The match between Crystal Palace and Arsenal which will be played on Friday around 4pm at Selhurst Park will open the EPL 2022/23 calendar. That will be the only EPL match to be played on Friday.

A total of six EPL matches will be played on Saturday in various stadiums in England.


Fulham, who were promoted earlier this year, will invite Liverpool to Craven Cottage at half past eight.

Four other matches will be played on Saturday around eleven o’clock including Bournemouth vs Aston Villa, Leeds vs Wolves, Tottenham vs Southampton and Newcastle vs Nottingham Forest.

Everton and Chelsea will close the second day of the EPL matches in a match that will be played at half past one at Goodison Park.

Three matches will be played on Sunday starting at ten in the afternoon.

Manchester United will welcome Brighton to Old Trafford while at the same time Leicester invite their guests Brentford home to the King Power stadium.

The final match between West Ham and Manchester City will be played on Sunday around 6pm at the Etihad Stadium.
