Card Acquiring Specialist – KCB Bank
Job Description
- Support merchant acquisition, onboarding, activation, and retention for POS, Agent Banking POS, Card Payments, KCB Lipa, International Money Transfer, and e-commerce solutions.
- Provide end-to-end support and administration of Card Acquiring, Merchant POS, Agent Banking POS, E-commerce, KCB Lipa, and IMT platforms.
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve business targets and revenue objectives.
- Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities in collaboration with SME, Corporate, and Branch teams.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with merchants, PSPs, and key stakeholders.
- Act as the primary contact for acquiring customers, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
- Understand customer business needs and provide suitable acquiring solutions.
- Manage customer requirements and support retention and expansion of existing accounts.
- Promote and support POS, e-commerce, and digital payment solutions.
- Appraise merchant applications and recommend qualified merchants in line with risk and business criteria.
- Support in the discussions and negotiations on pricing, contracts, and operational matters with customers.
- Coordinate merchant training on:
- POS and card acceptance operations
- Lipa Namba and e-commerce solutions
- Fraud prevention and chargeback management
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements
- Payment acceptance best practices
- Understand merchant acquiring products, pricing models, and risk strategies.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, card scheme, and internal compliance requirements.
- Drive adoption of value-added products and services to increase revenue from existing customers.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support product enhancements and innovation.
- Make sound commercial decisions that maximize profitability and customer retention.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for management.
- Monitor market trends, customer activities, competitor developments, and industry changes.
