Job Description

  • Managing daily accounting operations, including cash, bank, and expense reconciliation.
  • Oversaw accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely follow-up and monitoring fund positions per agreed terms and conditions.
  • Conducted regular inter-unit reconciliations to ensure consistency across departments.
  • Prepared and disbursed salaries and wages by payroll statements and company policies.
  • Generated purchase and sales invoices, performed reconciliations, and prepared relevant financial reports.
  • Established a structured chart of accounts and ensured accurate posting for account finalization and trial balance preparation.
  • Assisted in the preparation of monthly MIS reports, including profit & loss accounts, balance sheets, cash flow, fund flow statements, and budget comparisons.
  • Ensured timely preparation and remittance of statutory deductions such as VAT, NSSF, PAYE, SDL, and City Service Levy, avoiding penalties.
  • Prepared and submitted all statutory reports relevant to the business unit.
  • Developed, maintained, and analyzed budgets, and produced periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual expenditures.
