Job Description

• To work directly with clients/ members

• To Promote the credit activities

• To assist clients in determining credit needs

• Manages the applications and ensures prompt delivery and collection of loans

repayments on time.

• Track assigned loan portfolio performance.

• Provide periodic portfolio reports/information (weekly, monthly, quaterly, semi-

annually and annual)

• Identify and recommend areas for credit activities based on the business plan.

• Find and register new potential members.

• Conduct area surveys.

• Assist potential members in filling out loan application forms, including visits to

the workplace, completion of financial analysis forms, collection of client baseline

data, and verification of guarantee information.

• Analyze loan applications and make recommendations to the Management Com-

mittee regarding the creditworthiness of clients.

• For approved loans, disburse funds, obtain a signature on a contract, verify con-

ditions precedent, and formalize the relationship.

• Follow-up with clients; ensure repayment procedure.

• Organize potential members into the company (through the orientation process)

• Facilitate disbursement and collection of loans.

• Review monthly collection updates to detect delinquencies promptly.

• To ensure no loans in arrears in the loan members’ portfolio.

• Assist the Manager in planning program goals and activities.

• Provide consultation in member business development and management where

needed.• Timely follow-up to the borrowers and collects collaterals due to failure of

repayments as per the loan policy

• To meet the target specified of loans to disburse every week.

• Do strong loan recovery and maintain the statutory PAR of less or equal to 5%

and NPL of less or equal to 2%.

• Be a relationship officer to facilitate close communication with member.

• Perform any specific task and duty assigned by the CEO

• To undertake any other work as instructed by the employer and ensure that the

employer abides by the standards and regulations of the cooperative societies in

Tanzania.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or

related field.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in credit, microfinance.

• Strong communication and customer relationship skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet weekly targets.

• Basic knowledge of loan management systems and Microsoft Office.
