The Senior Fabrication Supervisor (civil, complicated structural, and Architectural) reports the to AGI- Lot representative.
Role and Responsibilities.
- Directly supporting EACOP & the CONTRACTORs ensuring delivery of the pipeline and associated AGI, MST facilities and EITS infrastructure are on-time and to budget.
- Work as directed by the AGI- Lot representative within the allocated construction work packages issued
- Implement, use, and communicate safe work practices on and off the project sites
- Supervision and Inspection of Civil and Complicated Structural works regularly, identifying and eliminating potential safety hazards.
- Ensuring Company Contractors understand work scope pertaining to Civil and Complicated Structural fabrication works.
- Support AGI- Lot representative throughout the field and during meeting attendance, including monitoring and reporting on compliance of works, scheduling, contractor performance, materials, and vendors
- Conduct regular field inspections and supervision of the works in progress to ensure conformance to AFC design drawings
- Accept guidance and on the job training from supervisory and engineering personnel on day-to-day work scope execution
- Supervision and checks of field survey of all the precast and Civil activities as well as the prefabrication items (Structural) and Building constructions.
- Assist for the Supervision of ITP inspection surveillance and hold points by the designated inspection personnel.
- Assist for Supervise pre-pour inspection and approve release to pour
- Review and confirm dimensional check up to be conform with the required specifications.
- Monitor interfaces with the raw materials required for the prefabrication ( rebars, waterproofing (coating), concrete, additives, integrated bolts or any other items….
- Ensure that the Contractor is working on the final documents revisions.
- Ensure that the schedule and priority between the prefabrication and Installation is met.
- Work within a multi-cultural business framework and provide ethical and compliant support.Mentor exemplary behaviour regarding HSE, Ethics and Company “Code of Conduct” policy.
- Review and interpret structural steel drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with site teams to ensure correct implementation of steel structures during construction.
- Inspect steel fabrication and erection works to ensure quality and alignment with design intent.
- Conduct structural inspections and issue site reports, including non-conformance reports when needed.
- Provide technical support to construction teams and subcontractors.
- Monitor compliance with safety and quality standards during structural works
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or relevant qualification combined with extensive field experience or other Company agreed applicable discipline qualifications that support the execution of civil & Steel structural works for the onshore Pipeline and related AGI, MST facilities and EITS infrastructure works scopes
- A minimum of 10 years greenfield site & fabrication civil and structural construction experience in Oil & Gas or Hydrocarbon projects
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Competency within industry applications such as MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Strong knowledge of civil, Complicated Steel structural prefab & construction activities, concrete structures, foundations, buildings, and associated disciplines
- Demonstrate proficiency in the interpretation of engineering drawings, plans and specifications.
- Understanding of critical path and key milestones within the construction planning programs for civil works
- A high focus on identifying and meeting the key project deliverables and objectives.
- Demonstrated communication skills including the ability to articulate construction concerns and solutions with teams consisting of individuals with various technical and educational backgrounds.
- To provide supervisory support the CONTRACTOR to report on a daily basis on progress and activities
- Assist contractors for the correct interpretation of the drawings, providing support in the solution of technical problems
- Ability to delegate & set tasks
- Advanced written and spoken English
- Ability to travel as and when required
- Previous experience working with multicultural contractors’ and reporting their performance.
- Staff management experience (knowledge of mentoring and motivation techniques)
- Autonomous, self-motivated, and flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to change or shifting priorities.
- Knowledge of International Standards related to Civil, Structural and building activities.
- Knowledge about the Testing requirement for the Materials and in-situ construction activities related to Civil & Steel structural.
- Knowledge about the lifting requirement for the non-complex lifting activities.
- Able to ensure that all the quality and safety requirement are implemented and to coordinate with the LOT quality lead for any Major deviations during the construction phases.
