Job Description

Job Summary

 Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the lodge, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage departments.
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness throughout the property
• Manage and train staff, fostering a positive work environment that reflects Maasai values and traditions
• Coordinate with local Maasai community members to organize cultural activities and experiences for guests
• Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, revenue management, and cost control
• Implement and maintain safety and security protocols for guests and staff
• Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the lodge and its unique cultural offerings
• Maintain and enhance relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and local partners
• Act as a cultural liaison between guests and the Maasai community, ensuring respectful and authentic interactions
• Coordinate and oversee cultural activities such as nature walks, spear-throwing lessons, and traditional dance performances
• Promote and preserve Maasai culture by educating guests and staff about local customs, traditions, and sustainable practices
• Support local community projects and initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in lodge or hotel management, preferably in a cultural or eco-tourism setting
• Strong understanding of Maasai culture and East African tourism industry will be added advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment
• Passion for sustainable tourism and community development
