Our client, operating VIP Lodge in Maswa Game Reserve, is looking for a passionate & well Experienced Lodge Manager to be based on one of their properties in the Meatu District Simiyu Region in Tanzania.

The successful candidate MUST have at least 8 years of Management experience in a 5 star Lodge/Luxury Camp. Experience having worked in one of Northern Circuit National park and knowledge of the both English & Kiswahili language is a MUST.

Reports to: The Lodges General Manager

Salary: Good package will be negotiatead

Lodge Manager Job Responsibilities

v Directly manage all facets of the client property including revenue management, marketing, Front Office, Food & Beverage, recruiting & training, customer service and achieving financial targets

v Be responsible for leading and developing their team to ensure the lodge’s profitability and success

v Maintain a focus on driving rooms and F&B revenue while growing a high level of guest experience

v Be instrumental in driving changes and improvements in performance and implementing strategies in line with business objectives

v Manage client Guest’s experience

v Deliver the Client Brand experience to their guests

v Provide Inspired Leadership for the Organization

v Develop, Implement and review operational policies and procedures

v Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale

v Ensure compliance in Occupational Safety, Health and Security, Environmental policies, Employment laws and all statutory and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications for the Lodge Manager Job Includes

v A diploma/degree in hospitality, hotel management or related business study

v At least 8 years’ experience in Hotel operations in a property of the same or higher standard, with 5 years in a Management role

v A working experience in Property Management Systems

v Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required

v Exceptional communication and presentation skills

v A mature, collaborative approach and attention to the small things that make a difference is what makes you stand out above the rest

v A proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders

v Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance

v Passionate and motivated by success to see both yourself and your guest service team thrive

v A willingness to help and get involved whenever it is required by your team

v A proven track record of inspiring and motivating people while fostering a positive, creative and rewarding culture
Confidence in your capability to effectively resolve difficult situations and implement solutions that improve the service levels and financial results of the business

v You should be someone who appreciate the needs and basic expectations of client guests to ensure satisfaction

v You need to have pride in the work you do, how you present yourself, and how you communicate with client guests and your colleagues
