About the role:

The position holder will provide oversight to all key Regulatory affairs within SBL including the following accountabilities.

  • Preparation of submissions for investigational products to key regulatory agencies such as TBS, OSHA, TAEC, NEMC, GCLA, Weights and others.
  • Oversight of SBL products registration and approvals by Regulatory institutions.
  • Coordinate and participate in preparation of different types of regulatory submissions (e.g. products quality standards, audits, accreditation and related letters) to competent authorities nationally and worldwide.
  • Develop content, timelines and contingencies for submissions in collaboration with internal and external innovation teams.
  • Ensure that submissions are of high quality, meet all Regulatory requirements and are in compliance with corporate goals and directives.
  • Provide regulatory feedback to project teams and to senior management of the company.
  • Participate in contacting competent authorities for respective projects/products and interact with internal departments.
  • Will be custodian for the general regulatory and maintenance of Regulatory records.
  • Provide Strategic Regulatory inputs into and development of operational strategy for SBL programmes

Qualifications:

Degree in Law, International Relations, Political Science and Public Administration

Experience / skills required

  • 4-6 years’ experience in Regulatory or public Policy advocacy activities
  • Working knowledge of business operations and strong commercial awareness
  • Proven experience in building relationships with key partners in Government, within and outside the Business
  • Has demonstrated good Regulatory affairs management skills in Tanzania
