 Job Description

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to understand project specifications and plan layout procedures accordingly.
  • Determine the appropriate welding techniques and equipment based on the materials and project requirements.
  • Set up welding components and materials in line with project specifications and ensure proper alignment before beginning work.
  • Operate angle grinders and other tools to prepare metal parts for welding, ensuring surfaces are clean and ready for fabrication.
  • Align and weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, ensuring precision and quality in various positions.
  • Repair damaged machinery, equipment, and metal components by welding, filling gaps, and reinforcing structures.
  • Test and inspect welded joints and surfaces to identify flaws or weaknesses, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain welding equipment in optimal condition, ensuring tools are clean, functional, and safe for use.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor, including assisting in other fabrication or maintenance tasks.
