Job Description
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to understand project specifications and plan layout procedures accordingly.
- Determine the appropriate welding techniques and equipment based on the materials and project requirements.
- Set up welding components and materials in line with project specifications and ensure proper alignment before beginning work.
- Operate angle grinders and other tools to prepare metal parts for welding, ensuring surfaces are clean and ready for fabrication.
- Align and weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, ensuring precision and quality in various positions.
- Repair damaged machinery, equipment, and metal components by welding, filling gaps, and reinforcing structures.
- Test and inspect welded joints and surfaces to identify flaws or weaknesses, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment in optimal condition, ensuring tools are clean, functional, and safe for use.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor, including assisting in other fabrication or maintenance tasks.
