Tundu Antipas Lissu, the main opponent of the former President of Tanzania John Magufuli is returning to Tanzania today January 25, 2023.
These are the yielded results after the ongoing political reconciliation talks between CCM and Chadema founded by President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Chadema Chairman Freeman Mbowe.
Tundu Antipas Lissu who is returning to the country after having to be in exile for about 6 years due to the assassination attempt.
The reception of the famous politician will be led by the Jabali of Tanzanian Politics and Chadema Chairman Freeman Mbowe, various leaders of the party and supporters of Chadema who are prepared to hold a large protest to receive him.
The reception demonstration will go directly to Bulyaga Temeke Mwisho Stadium where a large Public Meeting has been organized to be addressed by Lissu starting at 8 pm.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, the Chairman of the Lissu Home Coming Reception Committee, Pastor Peter Msigwa, who was accompanied by the Secretary of the Committee, Catherine Ruge, said that all preparations have been completed and Tanzanians should expect the biggest reception ever to happen in this country.
Msigwa said the party has organized the reception due to the circumstances that forced Lissu to flee his country and now he is returning home after President Samia Suluhu Hassan started restoring the country to the desired political civilization.
