MANEB MSCE results 2022 – Malawi School Certificate of Education

The MSCE exam is the capstone test for secondary education in Malawi. Students in their final year of secondary school take the exam. Passing this test opens doors to both public and private higher education institutions, as well as the employment market.

Successful candidates will also receive a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).

Requirements for the Master of Science in Computer Engineering Degree

To receive the MSCE, a candidate must either…

Getting a C or better in six courses, including English, with at least one distinction or credit in each

Earning at least three distinctions or credits and passing all five required subjects, including English

MANEB MSCE Single-Session Exams

In most cases, this is how certification is earned. When a candidate completes the necessary requirements in a single testing session, either of the aforementioned conditions is met.

All qualified students will receive a complimentary certificate of completion, which will be sent to the secondary institution where the student registered for the exam and can be picked up by the student.

Multiple Exam Sittings (b)

This happens if a candidate does not meet both requirements in a single exam attempt. So, in order to earn a certificate, the candidate must take exams covering the same material in no more than four consecutive years. These certificates are referred to as “certificates by accumulation” since they aggregate student performance on multiple examination attempts. The year that the cumulative grades were earned is printed on the certificate.

Those who fall into this group must submit an official application to MANEB, detailing all of their examination history, in order to receive a certificate through accumulation. The current Certificate of Accumulation processing fee is K30,000.00.
