About Scholarship

The Stamps Scholarship is UM’s most prestigious merit award available to students at the University of Miami.

This scholarship is awarded to exceptional and academically accomplished high school seniors. The Stamps Scholarship includes tuition and fees, on-campus housing, a meal plan, University health insurance, textbooks, a laptop allowance, and access to a $12,000 enrichment fund, which may be used toward study abroad, undergraduate research, unpaid internships, and other educational pursuits.

Eligibility criteria

  • Must be applying for the undergraduate program
  • Strong high school academic record
  • Must have an English proficiency test (i.e. TOEFL, and IELTS)

  • University health insurance
  • Textbooks allowance and a laptop allowance

Required documents

  • Personal statement and supplemental essay
  • Official high-school transcripts
  • Standardized test scores (SAT or ACT)
  • English proficiency proof (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS)
  • One letter of recommendation
  • School report (completed by guidance counselor)
  • Educational activities statement
  • International Financial Certification Form
