Eligible Nationalities for Desmond Tutu/Church of Scotland Masters Scholarships 2021/22 for Study in UK
International students from any country with international fee-paying status are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Desmond Tutu/Church of Scotland Masters Scholarships 2021/22: Students from Africa are hereby invited to apply and be awarded the Desmond Tutu/Church of Scotland Masters Scholarship for a chance to study at the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom, fully-funded and all expense paid.
The scholarship will be awarded to a student from Africa who is accepted on a full-time basis for a one year postgraduate Masters programme of study within the School of Divinity and who has the official endorsement from the General Secretary or Principal Clerk of their Church.

Sponsor ValueThe award will be tenable for one academic year and will cover:
- Full overseas tuition fee
- Accommodation within a Church of Scotland flat within Edinburgh
- £500 per calendar month for living costs
- Visa costs
- One return airfare
- Insurance from Church of Scotland business travel, underwritten by Aviva.
Eligibility CriteriaThe scholarship will be awarded to a student from Africa who is accepted on a full-time basis for a one year postgraduate Masters programme of study within the School of Divinity. Shortlisted candidates will be required to have the official endorsement from the General Secretary or the Principal Clerk of their Church.Applicants must be a member of a Church of Scotland partner church in Africa.
