Founded in 1980,Médecins du Monde is a militant medical association for international solidarity that fights tirelessly to defend a fair and universal healthcare system. Faced with inertia and indifference, in a world where physical, psychological, political and institutional violence reigns, Doctors of the World treats , challenges , jostles , without limit, without ideology or censorship.
We fight with deeds and rights, through our advocacy and our actions in the field, in France with 59 programs and internationally in around thirty countries.
Because for Doctors of the World, defending health is not only treating , it is also listening, supporting, protecting, collaborating, defending, training, advocating. It is tackling the sources of a problem to make the symptoms disappear.
