About Us
Santa Maria Institute of Health and Allied Sciences (SMIHAS) established on July 2019 under the National Council for Technical Education Act (No. 9 of 1997), Cap. 129 read together with regulation 3 of the Technical Institution Registration Regulations, 2011 (GN No. 279) as the Health Training Institution for Provision of Technical Health Education for students. The Institute follows the NTA system under the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) and guidelines from the Ministry of Health Community Development Gender Elderly and Children.
The Institute is wholly owned by the Max Educational Services Limited (MESL) which controls and oversees its day to day operations and compliance with the law of the United Republic of Tanzania.
