TANZANIA RESEARCH AND CONSERVATION ORGANIZATION (TRCO)
Tanzania Research and Conservation Organization (TRCO) is a non-profit organization established in 30th December, 2021 under Non-Governmental Organization Act, 2002, operating in Tanzania mainland. The TRCO co-founded by Tanzanian experts from different disciplines and collaborate with international partners to support and promote conservation of both biodiversity and ecological landscapes on which all life depends in Tanzania.
Biological diversity in Tanzania is generally threatened at the alarming rate due to numerous factors including Climate change, Human Wildlife conflict, Illegal utilization of wildlife and forest resources, freshwater resources degradation, and unsustainable conversion of natural ecosystems into human modified land uses. Moreover, inadequate capacity for research to generate reliable information and data to advocacy conservation, limited public awareness on biodiversity and ecology and limited capacity in terms of financial resources to support conservation descending the conservation efforts
