Pricing Specialist – Sandvik

Sandvik are looking for a pricing specialist to monitor pricing performance, conduct market and profitability analysis, manage pricing structures, and support commercial decision-making while ensuring compliance with Company policies and pricing governance standards.

The position works closely with Sales, Finance, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to provide pricing recommendations, profitability analysis, market intelligence, and commercial support for quotations, contracts, and tenders. The role also manages pricing data, maintains price lists within ERP systems, and develops reports that support informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Governance

  • Support the development and implementation of pricing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain pricing structures, discount frameworks, and pricing rules.
  • Ensure pricing practices comply with company policies and approval authorities.
  • Participate in pricing reviews and margin improvement initiatives.

Pricing Analysis

  • Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer buying patterns.
  • Conduct profitability analysis by customer, product, segment, and contract.
  • Identify pricing improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Evaluate the impact of proposed pricing changes on sales and profitability.

Commercial Support

  • Provide pricing support to Sales and Aftermarket teams during tenders and quotations.
  • Review exception pricing requests and provide recommendations.
  • Support contract pricing reviews and renewals.
  • Assist in the preparation of commercial business cases.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain customer pricing databases and price lists.
  • Ensure accuracy of pricing information within ERP and business systems.
  • Develop pricing dashboards and management reports.
  • Monitor pricing compliance and identify deviations.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Finance, Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Support forecasting and budgeting activities.
  • Participate in product launches and strategic pricing projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to pricing processes.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activity and market developments.
  • Identify emerging pricing trends and customer requirements.
  • Benchmark pricing performance against industry standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in pricing, commercial analysis, finance, procurement, or sales operations.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and systems skills.
