Chief Accountant

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and supervise the entire finance and accounting function.

• Prepare, review, and submit timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and

annual).

• Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory obligations, and cooperative

regulations.

• Supervise cash flows, bank reconciliations, and financial controls.

• Monitor loan disbursements, repayments, and portfolio records.

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

• Liaise with external and internal auditors and tax authorities.

• Maintain an updated fixed assets register.

• Ensure proper recording of all income, expenditures, and liabilities.

• Advise management on financial policies and strategies.

• Perform any other accounting duties as assigned by the CEO.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.

• CPA(T), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification (mandatory).

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting

• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or equivalent).

• High integrity, accuracy, and leadership skills.
