Job Summary:  

  • Seeking an experienced HR Manager  to oversee recruitment, workforce planning, and compliance. Requires expertise in labor laws, employee relations, and HR operations in remote environments.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and workforce planning tailored to mining operations.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention of skilled mining personnel, including engineers, operators, and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international labor laws, mining industry regulations, and union agreements.
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures in a fair and legal manner.
  • Develop and oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll administration for mine site and corporate employees.
  •  Implement training and development programs focused on mine safety, technical skills, and leadership growth.
  • Work closely with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) teams to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Coordinate with mine site supervisors and operational managers to address workforce challenges.
  • Handle HR issues related to remote mining sites, including accommodation, shift schedules, and expatriate management.
  • Monitor and ensure workplace diversity, equal employment opportunities, and ethical HR practices.
  • Conduct regular HR audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance and improve HR efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain HR reports, workforce analytics, and KPI tracking for senior management.

Qualifications & Skills:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Over 5+ years of HR management experience in the mining industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Experience managing large-scale recruitment and workforce planning for remote sites.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
