Job Title: Partner Litigations
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the registration of EFIC’s legal practice with the Tanganyika Law Society (TLS).
- Build, mentor, and supervise a team of legal associates and legal assistants.
- Develop and expand legal service offerings, including commercial litigation, employment law, contract review, and regulatory compliance.
- Represent EFIC clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations.
- Draft and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for legal services.
- Oversee legal risk management, client onboarding, and formalization of engagement letters.
- Drive business development, client acquisition, and negotiate legal advisory contracts.
- Establish and grow the Legal Services Unit as a standalone and strategic department within EFIC.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Number of cases successfully resolved.
- Client satisfaction and retention rate.
- Timeliness in legal document preparation and filing.
- Regulatory compliance rate across all legal engagements.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Licensed Advocate with current registration under the Tanganyika Law Society (TLS).
- Proven track record of successfully resolving complex legal cases.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in litigation and legal advisory.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Business acumen with experience in client acquisition and legal service marketing.
