Job Title: Partner Litigations


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the registration of EFIC’s legal practice with the Tanganyika Law Society (TLS).
  • Build, mentor, and supervise a team of legal associates and legal assistants.
  • Develop and expand legal service offerings, including commercial litigationemployment lawcontract review, and regulatory compliance.
  • Represent EFIC clients in court proceedingsarbitrations, and mediations.
  • Draft and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for legal services.
  • Oversee legal risk managementclient onboarding, and formalization of engagement letters.
  • Drive business development, client acquisition, and negotiate legal advisory contracts.
  • Establish and grow the Legal Services Unit as a standalone and strategic department within EFIC.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

    • Number of cases successfully resolved.
    • Client satisfaction and retention rate.
    • Timeliness in legal document preparation and filing.
    • Regulatory compliance rate across all legal engagements.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Licensed Advocate with current registration under the Tanganyika Law Society (TLS).
  • Proven track record of successfully resolving complex legal cases.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in litigation and legal advisory.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Business acumen with experience in client acquisition and legal service marketing.
