The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) is a body corporate established on 1st July 2005, under the Universities Act 2005 (Chapter 346 of the Laws of Tanzania) with mandate to recognize, approve, register and accredit Universities operating in Tanzania, and local or foreign University level programs being offered by registered higher education institutions. It also coordinates the proper functioning of all university institutions in Tanzania so as to foster a harmonized higher education system in the country.
The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) is a legislative and regulatory agency that was founded in 2005 by the Government of Tanzania to govern university education in Tanzania.
Its aim is to ensure that Tanzanian students receive a quality education. It is this organization’s recognition, permission, and accreditation that must be obtained prior to the establishment of any university.‘
TCU Tanzania has released the names of candidates who have successfully obtained more than one college for applicants for the year 2022/2023 or those who have been selected for more than one course
